Find your Android phone from any browser

  1. Go to android.com/find on a computer or another phone.
  2. Sign in with the Google account used on the lost phone.
  3. If you have several devices, pick the right one at the top. Its location shows on the map, with the time it was last seen.

Google renamed Find My Device to Find Hub. It's the same free service and works on almost every Android phone with Google apps: Pixel, Samsung, Motorola, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo and more. On a friend's Android phone, open the Find Hub app and sign in as a guest.

When does it work?

To be found online, the phone needs to be on, signed in to a Google account, with location turned on and Find Hub turned on (Settings › Google › Find Hub). It also must not be hidden in Google Play.

If it's switched off or offline

With the Find your offline devices setting, nearby Android phones can help locate yours without internet. It needs a screen lock (PIN, pattern or password).

  • Pixel 8 and later: can be found for several hours after being switched off or running out of battery, if Bluetooth and location were on.
  • Other phones: you'll usually see the last location the phone saved, depending on the option you chose (busy places only or everywhere).

If it was stolen

  1. Choose Secure device right away and add a contact number.
  2. Call your carrier to block the SIM. They can also block the phone's IMEI.
  3. File a police report. The IMEI is shown in Find Hub: tap the info icon next to the device.
  4. Change your Google password and other important passwords.
  5. Factory reset only once you're sure it's gone.

Don't go to the location yourself. Share it with the police instead.
